Neal is responsible for assisting Canadian businesses with their UK / European market entry strategies, assisting with financial incentives and advising companies on UK business practice.
Bringing over 20 years of broad experience in business and Government. From starting his own multi-site retail business in the UK at 16 with an annual turnover of $1.6 million and employing 26 associates over 4 sites, to representing various not-for profit and government agencies in community and economic regeneration. Neal was the youngest elected town councilor in his area and served as Chairman of his local Chamber of Commerce. Serving on several community committees Neal was instrumental in creating large scale community events that brought together over 120 registered charities, not-for-profit organizations and businesses to work together in joint fundraising activities. In 1999 Neal sold his retail business to concentrate on other interests which included serving the Council for Voluntary Service and the UK Lottery Charities Board.
In 2000 Neal relocated to Chicago, USA where he worked for the British Consulate General Chicago, he held several positions including trade and investment roles for UK Trade and Investment (UKTI). After a 6 year period in the USA, Neal emigrated to Toronto, Canada where he took up a position with RBC Capital Markets syndication department. In September 2007 North of England Inward Investment Agency expressed an interest to set up an office in Canada and Neal joined the team.
Based in Toronto, Neal travels Canada extensively to better serve the Canadian marketplace. He holds an equivalent to a US degree of Bachelor of Business Administration, a Certificate in Management Studies and a Certificate in Personnel Practice.
