Sonya Knox
Vice President Business Development

Sonya is Vice President of Business Development based in Chicago with responsibility for the New York Corridor/ Midwest USA region. In this capacity Sonya's primary role is to facilitate foreign direct investment from the region's "knowledge based" companies into the North West and North East of England. In this role Sonya works alongside a wide range of companies including IT, Life Sciences, Energy & Environment, Creative & Media and Business & Financial service sectors in support of their European market entry and/or growth strategy.

Sonya joined the NEIIA in May 2004 following a private sector career primarily spent in consumer sales and marketing both in the UK and internationally. Sonya's experience includes 7 years in the construction industry and over 10 years in fmcg including 4 years in new product development .

After obtaining her degree in Accounting and Financial Management from Loughborough University in the UK, Sonya worked for a number of years as a financial analyst.
