European Centre for Aerospace Training officially opened

This month saw the official opening of the first building to be completed on the £38 million Macclesfield Learning Zone, the European Centre for Aerospace Training (ECAT).
Steven Broomhead, Chief Executive of the Northwest Regional Development Agency (NWDA) said: "The NWDA is pleased to have been able to support the development of the new ECAT building which will help to train the next generation of Aerospace Engineers, meeting the skills needs of employers locally, regionally and nationally."
Engineering students from throughout the Northwest and from overseas, are now benefiting from the superb facilities in the new ECAT building. These currently include students from the United Arab Emirates and Kuwait.
